PRESS RELEASE: Somaliland Forum
The election of the new executive committee of the Somaliland Forum for the year 2008-2009 has been concluded on May 17, 2008. Somaliland Forum elects five members of executive committee every year at this time. According to the Somaliland Forum bylaws eligible members can participate in the nomination, and voting for the new leadership of the forum.
Somaliland Forum Election Commission proudly announces the following newly elected members of the Somaliland Forum Executive Committee for 2008-2009 term.
Chairman: Jamal Ali Hussein (Abidjan, Ivory Coast)
Vice-Chair: Amina Abdi Jama (Toronto, Canada)
Secretary: Lul Farah (London, UK)
Treasurer: Eng. Ali Abdillahi Dahir (Hargeisa, Somaliland)
Member-at-Large: Eng. Abdisalan Muse Galaal (Sohar, Oman)
The Election Commission would like to extend its appreciation to each and everyone member who took part in the Executive Committee election. Thanks also to all the candidates for accepting the nominations and for their willingness to serve the Somaliland Forum 2008-2009 Executive Committee, and for volunteering their time for Somaliland Forum, and for our beloved people and country.
The Election Commission would also like to thank the out-going Somaliland Forum Executive Committee for their Contribution to the forum as well as to Somaliland.
